Aboriginal Culture
For thousands of years before European settlement Yorke Peninsula was traditionally owned by the Adjahdura Aboriginal people. They led a peaceful existence moving among their many campsites while hunting, fishing and gathering food.
The first Europeans they encountered were sealers who were soon followed by shepherds and their flocks. By the 1850's the agricultural expansion had encroached over much of the Adjahdura land, destroying culture and traditions that had evolved over thousands of years.
Walking Trails
Bushwalks, clifftop and shoreline rambles, unique geology trails, a wonderful array of birdlife and wildlife, history and heritage trails. Whether you're an avid bushwalker or just love to stroll...it's all waiting for you on peaceful, unspoilt Yorke Peninsula.

The elusive whip bird once thought to be extinct is now found in Innes National Park.
Home Grown Trail
